HOW TO DO A SMOKY EYE

29 Nov, 2012

This is a Smoky Eyes Tutorial which is easy to follow and has pictures to clarify each step. In this Smoky Eyes Tutorial we are using the jane iredale Mineral Makeup Brand. This Tutorial is courtesy of janeiredale.com Steps:

Using either the PurePressed Eye Shadow trio in Sundown OR the PurePressed Eye Shadow trio in Silver Lining, apply the light silver tone all over eye lid from lash line to brow

  • Tap the darkest colour from the trio into the contour of the eye (charcoal or black) with the eye contour brush.

  • Line the upper and lower lash line with the charcoal colour and blend with deluxe shader brush all around the eyes.

  • Apply light shimmer highlight colour  into inner corner of the eyes. (Image displayed is Eye Highligher Pencil, both do the trick). Blend mid tone shadow with crease dome brush just above contour to soften edges.

  • Line the inner eye line (water line) with a black or black/grey eye pencil.

  • Smudge with the darkest colour in the Sundown PurePressed Eye Shadow  with crease or mini dome brush over the eye liner. Blend mid tone colour in trio on lower lashes to soften the eyeliner. Add lots of Longest Lash Mascara in Black Ice!

Tip! Adding an additional colour like: PurePressed Eye Shadow in Dark Suede, Dusk or Crushed Ice with the mini dome brush underneath lower lashes creates further depth and smoke to the look.
