UNDERSTANDING OSMOSIS MD SKIN CARE SERUMS

Osmosis MD Skin Care is a Cosmeceutical Range developed by Dr Ben Johnson in the US. Dr Ben Johnson went on to create the Osmosis Skin Care Range which took on an entirely different philosophy to his past formulations which contained AHA's (Fruit acids).   

Dr Ben Johnson steered away from the world of fruit acids or AHA's (alpha hydroxy acids) into the direction of reducing inflammation in the skin. Inflammation is one of the major causes of skin ageing. Every day our skin is bombarded with free radicals – a process whereby our molecules are deprived of an atom – creating rouge cells. These rouge cells then scavange their missing atom from healthy cells, creating a domino inflammatory process in the skin. The Osmosis MD Skin Care Range is a well-versed range that covers cosmeceutical skincare products for all skin conditions and types. The Osmosis MD Skin Care Range also consists of wellbeing products from supplements to Harmonized Water to rebalance internal disharmonies.   

The Osmosis MD Skin Care Range instead of using acids for product penetration, the range uses an ingredient called phosphatidylcholine liposomes to reach the epidermal-dermal barrier. Cosmetic skincare has a very difficult time reaching the deeper layers of the skin. A Cosmeceutical such as the Osmosis MD Range and our Skin Matrix Cosmeceutical Range are developed with the no.1 priority of product penetration, smell/feel/luxury value comes second. The Osmosis MD Skin Care Range comprises of 4 Vitamin A serums. If you are combating acne and/or have an oily skin type then you would choose the Osmosis MD Clarify Serum. For those with sensitive skins, rosacea or any topical sensitivities then the Osmosis MD Calm is for you. Osmosis MD Correct is their Vitamin A serum for a normal skin type, once you have used Correct you can progress to the Osmosis MD Renew. 

TIP: If you are using Osmosis MD Clarify or Calm - once your acne and sensitivities are no longer, you can then transition across to the Osmosis MD Renew.   

Osmosis MD Catalyst AC-11 - This patented, clinically proven serum activates the repair mechanisms of our own cells to reverse aging in the skin, reduce pigmentation, decrease scar tissue, increase skin elasticity, and boost collagen and elastin production. Key ingredients are:

• Uncaria Tomentosa (Cat’s Claw) Extract (AC-11®) - All the beneficial parts of cat’s claw have been extracted to create more DNA repair and healing while decreasing inflammation. Increases results and protects skin from everyday elements.
• Ascorbic Acid (L) - Water soluble Vitamin C. A powerful antioxidant, strengthens collagen, assists in brightening, provides anti-wrinkle effects, smooths skin texture, heals wounds, and prevents scarring.
• Ketoglutaric Acid (Alpha Ketoglutarate) - Essential for binding proteins to repair DNA and create collagen, intermediate in the production of energy for our cells.

On clean skin, apply 1-2 pumps morning and/or evening. Spritz Activating Mist (Boost/Infuse) and gently massage into skin. Follow with additional serum(s) if needed and moisturiser.

One of their most popular serums is the Osmosis MD Rescue Serum - If you have sensitive skin, perhaps rosacea, or even acne or any inflammation at all this serum is for you! Rescue compromised skin with this uniquely powerful serum proven to neutralize toxins, calm inflammation, activate epidermal wound repair, and dramatically improve skin texture and age spots. Patented anti-inflammatory activates skin repair, calms redness and clears blemishes, and targets age spots, skin texture and pores. Apply 1-2 pumps on clean skin in the morning and evening, this serum needs to be applied first. Follow with additional serum(s) and moisturiser. Key ingredient: 

• Ozonized Ethyl Oleate (Trioxolane) - Natural plant extract with specialized stable oxygen molecules that repair free-radical damage, repair protein damage, and complete the wound healing process.

Osmosis MD StemFactor Serum is their growth factor serum that is widely popular and suited to many skin types and conditions. The most clinically proven and technologically advanced growth factor serum utilizes patented methods to feed stem cells and fibroblasts to replenish the skin’s shortage of growth factors and proteins. StemFactor improves all aspects of aging and damage by encouraging the skin’s repair process and stimulating new cell development for youthful skin. Apply 1-2 pumps on clean skin in the morning and evening. This one also needs to be applied first after cleansing. Follow with additional serum(s) and moisturizer if needed. If you are using both Rescue and StemFactor, then I recommend you apply the Rescue in the morning with perhaps Catalyst AC-11 after, then of an evening apply the StemFactor first after cleansing followed by your Vitamin A serum of choice.
